1. In short
- We ask for the parent's name, email address, WhatsApp number and country, and the student's first name, age, chosen programme and preferred class times.
- We use those details to arrange and run classes and to send you your booking confirmation. That is all.
- Your booking is sent to us as an email; we do not run a customer database.
- Google Analytics runs only if you accept the prompt on your first visit; say no and it never loads.
- We do not sell, rent or share your details with advertisers.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete what we hold at any time.
2. What we collect and why
When you book a trial, the form asks for: the parent or guardian's name, email address, country and WhatsApp number; and the student's first name, age band, the programme they are interested in, a preferred teacher if any, and preferred days and time slot. We need these to confirm a time in your time zone and to match you with the right teacher.
During classes, teachers keep brief notes on a student's progress so they can plan the next lesson and share progress with you. These notes are about learning — letters covered, rules practised — not about anything else.
If you message us on WhatsApp or email, we keep that conversation so we can refer back to what was agreed.
We do not collect payment card details on this website. Payment is arranged separately through a payment provider, whose own privacy policy applies to the card details you give them.
3. Where your information goes
Your booking is delivered to us as an email through Resend, a transactional email service. The email contains the details you entered and goes only to the academy's inbox.
Scheduling and day-to-day messages happen on WhatsApp (Meta) and email. Classes run on Zoom or Google Meet. Each of those services processes data under its own privacy policy.
This website is hosted on Vercel. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to see how many people visit and how fast pages load. These measure pages, not people: they do not use cookies, do not track you across other sites, and do not identify you.
If you accept the prompt shown on your first visit, we also use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages parents find useful. It sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) that last up to two years and sends page views and clicks to Google, with your IP address anonymised. We do not use it for advertising or share it with anyone else. If you decline, or simply close the prompt, Google Analytics is never loaded and nothing about your visit goes to Google. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the prompt back.
Your browser also stores three small preferences on your own device only — your theme (light or dark), your chosen country and currency — so the site remembers them next time. They never leave your device and we cannot read them.
We do not share your information with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
4. Children
Most of our students are children. We only accept bookings from a parent or guardian, and we only collect the minimum about the child: a first name and an age band. We never ask children for information directly, and we never contact a child other than through the class the parent has arranged.
If you believe a child has given us information without a parent's knowledge, tell us and we will delete it.
5. How long we keep it
If you book a trial and do not continue, we delete your booking details within three months of the trial ending, unless you ask us to keep them so you can pick up later.
If you enrol, we keep your details and progress notes for as long as the student is with us, and for one year afterwards in case you return. Basic payment records are kept for as long as accounting rules require.
You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time (see section 7).
6. Keeping it safe
This site is served over HTTPS, and the booking form sends your details to us encrypted. Access to the academy inbox and WhatsApp account is limited to the people who run the academy. We do not store your details on any public system.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you promptly and explain what happened.
7. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to: tell you what information we hold about you or your child; correct it; delete it; or stop using it for a particular purpose. If you are in the UK, EU or another place with data protection law, these are legal rights; everywhere else, we honour them anyway.
To make a request, message us on WhatsApp at +92 3127910551 or email ayahlinkacademy@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days and will not charge you for it. If you are unhappy with our response and you are in the UK or EU, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. For any significant change we will also tell enrolled families directly.
